Walter Nowak, better known in the art world as Dubz, is a Florida-based artist recognized for his bold, vibrant creations using POSCA paint pens. Since discovering the medium in 2011, Dubz has developed a signature style that blends tropical energy, surf culture, psychedelic color, and street-inspired “flash” art into instantly recognizable pieces.

Working primarily with 100% POSCA paint pens on canvas, wood, and mixed surfaces, Dubz creates artwork that feels alive with movement—featuring flaming hearts, sunbursts, palm trees, skulls, guitars, and tropical dreamscapes. His work reflects the laid-back but electric atmosphere of coastal Florida, drawing inspiration from beach life, music, and the spirit of freedom found in surf and island culture.

In addition to painting, Walter is also a master jeweler, crafting handmade beach-inspired jewelry since 2002. Many of his jewelry pieces feature miniature hand-painted elements using the same POSCA techniques he developed in his larger artworks.

Through his brand Dubzitized Surf Designs, Dubz continues to expand his creative world—producing original art, custom commissions, tropical flash pieces, and wearable art. His work celebrates color, individuality, and the vibrant lifestyle of the coast.
